Food isn’t just fuel for your on-the-water adventures—as anyone who’s grown up on seafood sandwiches or galley-made meals will tell you, it’s all part of making a rich, memorable experience.

Fortunately, there are plenty of meals perfect for daylong excursions or water sport adventures that pack a punch—it only takes some planning and pre-trip preparation to enjoy them! In today’s blog, we’ve compiled some of our favorite recipes for on-board enjoyment.

 

Cranberry chicken salad wraps
This fresh take on traditional chicken salad puts the meal on tortilla wraps—a light, easy-to-eat alternative to traditional sandwich bread.

1 pound cooked, shredded chicken breast
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup slivered almonds
3/4 cup chopped celery
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
6 tortilla wraps

1. Toss together shredded chicken, dried cranberries, slivered almonds, and chopped celery.
2. Mix in mayonnaise and lemon juice until well-combined.
3. Scoop your chicken salad onto wraps for six tasty snacks.

 

Crispy, crunchy chicken tenders
For a filling, protein-packed snack or picnic dish, these crispy, crunchy chicken tenders can’t be beat!

1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast strips
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 cloves grated garlic
2 cups panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon paprika

1.Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
2. Mix together garlic and mustard.
3. Brush the mixture on chicken strips.
4. Mix together grated garlic, panko bread crumbs, salt, pepper, olive oil, and paprika.
5. Coat the strips in the bread crumb mixture.
6. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, flip halfway through, and enjoy!

 

Super simple pasta salad
At five ingredients, this pasta salad couldn’t be simpler—but it’s packed with flavor and a refreshing crunch you and your family will love.

1 cup orzo pasta
Lemon shallot vinaigrette to taste
3 cups diced watermelon
4 cups baby arugula
4 ounces crumbled feta cheese

1. Cook the orzo pasta according to box directions.
2. Toss cooked pasta with lemon shallot vinaigrette.
3. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
4. Toss everything together before you’re ready to serve!
